Principal's Message

Dear Wesley Gaines Families,

I am honored to be the principal of Wesley Gaines and am excited to continue to work with the students, parents and families that make up this wonderful community. At Gaines, we have a dedicated and caring staff that will ensure that your child receives the very best education in a safe and nurturing environment.

At Wesley Gaines, we are a Safe and Civil School. We believe that all students should be able to learn and play in a safe and civil environment. To accomplish this goal, we continually teach our students about positive behaviors and attitudes through clear expectations and procedures.

As we wrap up our year of Distance Learning, we continue to prepare our students for 21st century citizenship by providing them with rigorous learning opportunities using technology as a tool, strengthening collaboration and communication skills, and engaging in problem solving strategies within the instructional day. We will encourage a growth mindset to prepare all students to be lifelong learners.

We welcome volunteers and encourage you to support our school by joining the Wesley Gaines PTA and becoming an active participant in school events. We are a team working together to prepare our students by building strong foundations for success!

We look forward to seeing all of our students every day. Attendance is very important for learning new skills and working with others. If your child is out due to illness, please contact the office. Students may complete work at home to earn attendance credits.

Together, we will make this a wonderful year!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 562-602-8012 or [email protected].
